He noted that for Indonesian people, Russia is an example of sincerity in international dialogue.
According to Sultan Baktiar Najamudin, the bilateral relations between Russia and Indonesia are developing actively and progressing towards a new level – the expansion of bilateral cooperation and links as the new world order is taking shape.
The Speaker of the Regional Representatives Council believes that Russia and Indonesia are at the vanguard for all issues concerning world justice. His belief is that the era of strong countries dictating to the weak how to live and develop has passed. Today’s geopolitical reality confirms that the rules-based order failed to secure principles of fair conduct.
Sultan Baktiar Najamudin further noted that Russia and Indonesia share similar approaches and values, and for Indonesian people, Russia is an example of sincerity in international dialogue.
In his remarks, the Speaker of the Regional Representatives Council of the Republic of Indonesia pointed out that the growing injustice in international relations continues to hinder the work of regional and interregional associations where many countries cooperate today, including Russia and Indonesia.
“We are ready to collaborate to push forward our cooperation in the modern world.”
The Speaker also thanked the Russian Government, the Federation Council and the State Duma for their efforts that have helped Indonesia join BRICS as a permanent member. “I’m confident that BRICS will continue to grow and expand because the world is looking for new association formats that will fully adhere to the principles of economic and political equity, and will maintain general security,” said the Speaker of the Regional Representatives Council of the Republic of Indonesia.
Sultan Baktiar Najamudin also spoke about Russia-Indonesia region-to-region cooperation: “We can see great potential in other cooperation areas between our countries at the national and regional levels.”
