The senator met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Russian Federation Lotfi Bouchaara.
Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Agriculture, Food Policy and Environmental Management and head of the Federation Council group for cooperation with the House of Councillors of the Kingdom of Morocco Alexander Dvoinykh noted during the meeting that Russian-Moroccan interaction covers many subjects and is implemented through government and private entities of diverse specialisations. “Thanks to such a comprehensive approach we have fewer and fewer areas where we have yet to establish dialogue and begin cooperation,” the senator stated.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Declaration on In-depth Strategic Partnership between the two countries, Alexander Dvoinykh pointed out. He expressed hope that the planned visit of the Federation Council cooperation group’s delegation to the Kingdom of Morocco will give a new impetus to inter-parliamentary relations.
In view of this, Alexander Dvoinykh and Lotfi Bouchaara discussed the issues related to the organisation of the delegation's visit.
“The Russian side is prepared to intensify interparliamentary dialogue with Moroccan colleagues through specialised committees, primarily in such areas as agriculture, transport, culture, education, energy, healthcare and interbank cooperation,” Alexander Dvoinykh said.
