The Deputy Federation Council Speaker offered condolences in connection with the death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Deputy Federation Council Speaker Konstantin Kosachev visited the residence of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow and signed the book of condolences in memory of the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
“On behalf of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and myself, I would like to offer deepest condolences and words of support to the Government and people of Iran in connection with the martyr’s death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other victims,” the message notes.
During his conversation with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali, Konstantin Kosachev noted that it was impossible to justify this crime against the people of Iran.
“The current situation around Iran is too unequivocal for justifying the actions of the United States and Israel, as some other countries are now doing. We unconditionally side with Iran. Ongoing attacks on the sovereign state with mass civilian fatalities violate all norms of international law and moral norms,” Konstantin Kosachev stressed.
