Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev had a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia Bukhchuluun Purevdorj. The meeting was attended by Russian Senator and member of the Federation Council Group for Cooperation with the State Great Hural of Mongolia Bair Zhamsuyev.
The parties discussed preparations for the second meeting of the Commission for Cooperation between the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the State Great Hural of Mongolia. This meeting is planned to take place in Irkutsk in early summer 2025. The Russian co-chairmen of the Commission are Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev and Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexei Gordeyev.
According to Konstantin Kosachev, the results of the Cooperation Commission’s work should be concrete and felt by both countries. A more detailed discussion of issues related to Russian-Mongolian cooperation must take place at the relevant parliamentary committees.
Bukhchuluun Purevdorj noted the high level of interparliamentary ties and stressed that parliamentarians should assist in the meticulous implementation of agreements reached by the leaders of both countries.
The parties also discussed key focal points of interparliamentary cooperation, as well as trade and economic ties between Russia and Mongolia.
