Konstantin Kosachev: Declaration denouncing terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall was signed by parliamentary delegations from 45 IPU member countries

According to the Deputy Speaker, the written declaration was included in the list of official documents of the 148th IPU Assembly.


Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev reported that a written declaration denouncing the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall had been put on the list of official documents of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The website of the Inter-Parliamentary Union featured a list of official documents of the 148th Assembly, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland, on 22–27 March, 2024, including a written declaration denouncing the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall, a list of national delegations signatories of the declaration, and remarks by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev, who led the Russian delegation.

According to Mr Kosachev, Russian senators drafted a written declaration on the first day of the 148th IPU Assembly in Geneva and promptly circulated it to the national delegations.

Signed by the parliamentary delegations of 45 IPU member countries, the document resolutely condemns the terrorist attack committed at the Crocus City Hall, a concert facility in Moscow, conveys sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the entire Russian nation, and urges all states to cooperate in the fight against terrorism in keeping with their commitments under international law.
