The Federation Council Deputy Speaker took part in the Congress of the International Russophile Movement.
Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev took part in the Congress of the International Russophile Movement in Moscow.
Konstantin Kosachev read out a message of greetings to congress delegates from the Federation Council Speaker.
The message reads, in part: “We see the International Russophile Movement as an initiative that largely expands the important traditions of the Livadia International Humanitarian Forum, which has been organised by the Federation Council for many years.”
In his remarks, Konstantin Kosachev noted that Russia united people of goodwill amid the current international challenges.
“In these complicated international circumstances, it is precisely Russia that is the source of this goodwill that will save the world,” the Senator noted.
Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Grigory Karasin, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Andrey Klimov and Member of the Federation Council Committee on the Budget and Financial Markets Vasily Ikonnikov took part in the work of the Congress.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke at the Congress.
