The senator met with the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic.
First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy and Coordinator of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council Alexander Varfolomeev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Russian Federation Riad Haddad.
The event was also attended by Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Young Legislators, Andrei Razzorenov.
“The recent events organised by the upper chamber to mark the 10th anniversary of the Chamber of Young Legislators were attended by a delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic. During the forum, we agreed to continue the dialogue between young parliamentarians of Russia and Syria,” Alexander Varfolomeev said.
According to the senator, the meeting participants agreed on methods of work to organise interaction between young parliamentarians. “Soon, young Syrian legislators will arrive to attend a forum due to take place in the Krasnodar Territory,” Alexander Varfolomeev elaborated.
