Russian senators are taking part in the work of the 19th winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna.
A Federation Council delegation headed by First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov is taking part in the 19th winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna.
Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Inna Svyatenko, First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Grigory Karasin, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Oleg Morozov and a Member of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Tatyana Kusaiko are also taking part in the session as members of the Russian delegation on behalf of the Federation Council.
Deputy State Duma Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy heads the Federal Assembly delegation at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
According to Vladimir Dzhabarov, members of national parliaments from OSCE member countries taking part in the session will discuss the use of OSCE tools and mechanisms for resolving protracted conflicts, fighting corruption, money-laundering operations and the financing of terrorism and for combating anti-Semitism, discrimination and intolerance in the region.
An exhibition marking the 75th anniversary of Europe’s liberation from Nazism will open at the Assembly in an impressive setting on the first day of the session, Vladimir Dzhabarov said. The exhibition was prepared in cooperation with the Russian Historical Society and displays documents and photos from museums and archives.
Members of the Russian delegation invited all participants in the winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to take part in the event.
