The memorandum was signed by the speakers of the Federation Council of Russia and the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam.
Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko and Speaker of the Legislative Council of Brunei Abdul Rahman Mohamed Taib have signed a memorandum of understanding between the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam.
Valentina Matvienko noted during the signing ceremony that this memorandum was a major step aimed at maintaining and strengthening regular contacts between the two countries’ lawmakers.
“We highly appreciate the signing of this document between the Federation Council of Russia and the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam. This is very important for the development of an atmosphere of mutual trust and understanding,” she said.
Abdul Rahman Mohamed Taib pointed out that the memorandum takes into account the interests of both the people of Russia and the people Brunei.
