The conversation took place on the sidelines of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum
Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko held a meeting with President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Pany Yathotou.
The parties discussed the agenda of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum, as well as bilateral relations and the development of interparliamentary ties.
“We greatly value the development of Russia-Laos relations. Laos has been our long-term and reliable partner in Southeast Asia,” Valentina Matvienko said.
Pany Yathotou praised the level, openness and meaningfulness of discussions held at the Eurasian Women’s Forum.
She thanked Russia for the assistance it provides to Laos and expressed her intent to facilitate the strengthening of bilateral relations.
