Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev has taken part in the first international forum, ROSTKI: Russia-China Mutually Beneficial Cooperation.
The Senator spoke at the plenary session, Russia-China: Economic Convergence, Cultural Projects, Infrastructure Prospects, and read out a message of greetings from Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko.
The Federation Council Deputy Speaker noted that Russian-Chinese strategic partnership has reached its historical peak and continues to develop despite the global turbulence.
The parliamentarian spoke about the active cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National People's Congress (NPC) of China.
“During the years when the Interparliamentary Commission for Cooperation between the Federal Assembly and the NPC has been operating, much has been done to expand and deepen cooperation between Russia and China in various spheres,” Konstantin Kosachev emphasised.
Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, also took part in the event.
The forum, ROSTKI: Russia-China Mutually Beneficial Cooperation, took part in Kazan on 7–8 September and brought together over 7,000 representatives from 58 Russian regions and 25 countries, as well as business leaders.
