The speakers discussed preparations for a forum of the two countries’ regions.
Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko and Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova had a telephone conversation.
They discussed the preparations for the upcoming Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions, scheduled to take place in late September.
The speakers also spoke about interaction within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states with due regard of the events on the IPA CIS agenda in late 2020.
