The event was also attended by Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Andrei Klimov.

Andrei Turchak believes it necessary to strengthen and promote interparliamentary ties between Russia and Syria.
The deputy speaker is certain that interregional cooperation between the two countries will help restore the Syrian economy.
Riad Haddad also noted it was important to develop Russian-Syrian relations in all possible spheres.
